This is my last wedding of 2024, and what an incredible way to wrap up a phenomenal season! I am beyond thrilled to showcase this absolutely stunning wedding on the blog today. Brittany and Derek have finally tied the knot and their day was unforgettable.
Let's start with how stunning the new Mrs. Rieckers looked in the most versatile dress ever. If you study the images below, you may think she had three different gowns, but in fact, she just had three different sleeves and a bustle. Talk about a photographer’s dream! This wedding was stuffed to the brim with amazing details and the sweetest candids. I loved looking through these images for the first time. The day came to life again right before my eyes.
I think one reason these images are so lively is because the Rieckers are surrounded by an incredible amount of support. I mean, I don’t think I even know as many people as they had in their bridal party. I think it says a lot about them that this many friends are so willing and eager to celebrate their day. And after spending some time with them, I absolutely understand why.
I usually go home and give my husband all of the details of the day. He asked how the bride and groom were. I told him that Derek is so laid back. He went deer hunting that morning and married his best friend that afternoon. That’s just the kind of guy he is- happy to be there, not a complaint. Then I told him that Brittany is just the sweetest. She’s so detail-oriented (which I LOVE), but she’s also just happy to sit back and take in the moment. Everything went perfectly for them and it made me so happy.
Mr. and Mrs. Rieckers, thank you so much for trusting me with such a special day. I love shooting weddings so much and your all’s love just reminded me yet again why I do what I do.
