ELIZABETH & HAYDEN | A STUNNING BLACK AND WHITE WEDDING AT BUNKER HILL

I can't tell you how anxious I was to get home and scroll through these photos for the first time. Elizabeth and Hayden had the most incredible wedding day. I got to witness so many touching moments from my viewfinder, and I knew I would have just as much fun going back through these moments as I did taking them.

The contrast throughout their day was captivating. Their details and color palette were so striking, yet so soft at the same time. Bold, but simple. And it didn't stop at the aesthetics. Elizabeth and Hayden balance each other out in a super fun, unique way. They would both rather sit in the background, away from the limelight, but when they're together they soak up the moment. It's like they're each other's comfort zone.

To continue the balancing act that was their wedding day, there were so many moments of laughter followed by tender memories made. Their day featured the perfect amounts of both comfort and elegance. Guests got to feel the seriousness of their ceremony, but then have just as much fun celebrating afterwards.

I've been blessed to witness many weddings, and I will tell you that the "perfect day" is certainly something that can seem hard to manage. How exactly are you supposed to create such a delicate balance? What I've found out is that the most perfect of wedding days are the ones that roll with the punches. The ones that treat their day like a celebration instead of a performance. If something goes wrong (like in this instance, a little bit of rain) and I hear someone say, "Oh well. At the end of the day, you'll be married and that's all that matters," then I know it's going to be a good one.

After all, if you can walk away from the day as a super happy new Mr. and Mrs., that truly is all that matters.

However, I will say that incredible shots like these sure don't hurt either. Icing on the wedding cake!

Congrats on a perfect day, Mr. and Mrs. Baughman. Here are just a few of my favorite shots from August 2, 2024.
