EMILY MATERNITY

I always envy the mommas who get to take their maternity sessions in the cold. Even though I'm freezing while shooting, I remember the times I was eight or nine months pregnant in July (THREE times, if you were wondering) and I always thought how nice it would be to have a winter baby. I would have loved to have a bump through the holidays, "eat for two" at the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner tables, have a baby right at the new year, get to wear big sweaters during the 4th trimester, and finally start feeling like myself again when the summer rolls around. But instead, I've been ridiculously sick through the holidays, miserably hot through the summer, and the postpartum hair loss begins right when it's time to take Christmas card photos again.

No matter when they're born, these babies are 110% worth it, I just can't help but dream through Sam and Andrew's session. I had the privilege of photographing them becoming Mr. and Mrs. Emily. Man, that was a pretty wedding. Here they are again ready to take on the next chapter in their story as mom and dad. These two have the best sense of humor and laidback nature. I can't wait to see how that translates into parenthood. Until baby E makes his arrival, we'll just enjoy these sweet maternity shots.
