FALL MINI SESSIONS 2019 | PART 1

Updated: Nov 10, 2020

If I had to rank my favorite seasons, I would start at the end of the year and go backwards: winter, fall, summer, then spring. But as much as I love snow, the holidays, and candy cane chill blizzards from Dairy Queen, fall is becoming a closer second every day. The bright leaves, crisp air just cool enough for boots, pumpkin spice everything...and, of course: FALL MINI SESSIONS!

That’s right, folks! It’s that time of year again. The time when I get to spend a whole day with a bunch of different, amazing families. This year certainly didn’t disappoint, and despite the cold weather, I ended up with so many amazing shots! So many, in fact, that I decided to break this post into two parts. (See part two here)

So, without further ado, here are (some) of the families I’ve had the pleasure of photographing lately.

The Anderson Family

Kelsie, Ethan, and Jaxon are the cutest little fam. Although he may look like his momma, Mr. Jaxon was all about his daddy for this session. It’s hard to beat getting thrown into the air! Luckily, though, Jaxon shared his dad just long enough for me to get some giggly shots between Mr. & Mrs. Anderson while he concerned himself with more important things, like sticks. Sometimes it’s nice to be reminded just how much joy leaves and sticks can bring one little boy. Before you scroll any further, be warned! Jaxon’s deep, blue eyes are hypnotizing (insert heart-eye emoji).

The Hensley Family

Is there anything better than having all of your cousins at the grandparents’ house at one time? Those were some of my best childhood memories, and last weekend, Brianna, Ethan, Anthony, and Carter made some memories of their own! Shannon gave me a call and explained that she and Paul had all four blessings for the weekend and that she would love to get some pictures of them, and I’m so glad she did! I don’t know what it’s like to be an amazing grandparent, but I sure know what it’s like to be loved by one many. You know you’ve got them wrapped around your finger when they have shirts made with your name on them (my Nana has tooooooons!)

Thanks for introducing me to these sweet kiddos, Shannon and Paul! I had a blast playing with them! Can’t wait until you can add that 4th grandson to your shirts!

The Terry Family

If anyone has ever been on a session with me, you’ve probably been introduced to my Pooh Bear stool. Now, you can finally meet the lady whose craftsmanship created the little wooden accessory that has accompanied me for years: my cousin Jessie! Mix her with fun-loving Shane, add three gorgeous kiddos, and you’ve got one incredible family! When they’re not “fighting” (see image below for further explanation) they are laughing and loving on each other. Although we are technically blood related, I must have missed the gorgeous gene that flows through their veins. I mean, seriously, just look at that picture of Jessie and Abby! Or the one of all three guys…y’all are too cute and you made my job so easy! Much love!!
