You would not believe how many times someone looked over my shoulder as I was editing these sneak peeks and said, “Is that Lexie? Aww!”
Because just like all of my family and friends who made that comment, I have known Lexie for a long time. When you grow up in a small town, you kinda become friends with everybody. That statement was proven true at Lexie and Eric’s wedding as so many of their old small town, high school, childhood friends showed up to celebrate them. That’s not even the coolest part. Now that they’ve started a life together, Lexie has moved away from good ol’ southern Indiana to follow her love and his career.
Turns out, you can take the girl out of the small town, but you can’t take the small town out of the girl. What do I mean by that? Well, Lexie and Eric have kept the “friends with everyone” outlook wherever they go. They had people from all over come to see them tie the knot. In his toast, Eric started naming state after state that was represented there that night and I was amazed. They have so many friends! Why? Well because Lexie and Eric share this special ability to make everyone feel like their best friend. And as I started thinking about how exactly they do that, I realized it may not be in the way one would expect.
They’re not annoyingly friendly, they’re not pushovers or fake whatsoever. They way they make everyone feel so loved and special is because they’re always themselves. They’re silly, they laugh, they dance, they crack jokes, they’re sassy, and they’re not afraid to speak their minds, they show their emotions, and they live up every moment. Lexie and Eric are so loved because they’re lovable, authentic people.
Speaking of lovable and authentic, this wedding was too much fun to shoot. It was winter, but in the sleekest way. I LOVE a monochrome moment and there were so many. From the florals to the bridesmaids dresses to the fireplace, it was all so simply elegant. Also, the 360 Photo Booth was live entertainment at its finest.
I’ve had so much anticipation for this wedding and it did not disappoint. I loved getting to interpret this day into photographs. Seriously, best job ever.
Thank you so much, Mr. and Mrs. Roll! Consider this one awesome start to an even awesome-er(?) marriage!
